Bold thinking. Resilient action.

BYNTGroup grew out of six years building fibre across the Caribbean. It is now a multinational telecommunications construction and services group with four offices and work delivered in eight countries, without losing the habit of doing the job properly the first time.

Our story

BYNTGroup was founded by Ger Noonan and Matt Milligan, who each bring more than 20 years of experience in telecoms network design and delivery.

From 2015 to 2020, Ger and Matt delivered fibre-to-the-home and fibre-to-the-building networks across 20 Caribbean islands. Working with shipped materials, small local crews and challenging island geography made careful planning essential. Every deployment depended on understanding local conditions and getting the work right the first time.

That breadth of experience shapes BYNTGroup today. We bring together network design, practical delivery knowledge and the ability to build capable local teams—even in markets where we have no permanent presence.

Our name comes from buoyant: resilience and an upward force. The deliberate spelling reflects our willingness to question established methods, whether that means putting mobile GIS into the hands of every crew or using microtrenching where conditions allow.

BYNTGroup is the trading name of three companies: Bouyant-C Ltd, registered in England and Wales (no. 14156764); Bouyant-C Ltd, registered in Ireland (no. 769663); and Bouyant-C Ltd, registered in Delaware, USA. BYNTGroup is the name you’ll see on our vehicles, our vests and our paperwork.

From the Caribbean to the Humber

After the Caribbean, Ger and Matt’s next network was in the north of England. MS3 Networks, the Hull-based independent fibre infrastructure provider, wanted a single partner to build and connect its network across the Humber.

In 2022 they founded Bouyant-C to be that partner, under a three-year master service agreement covering service delivery and customer connections — new civil connections to Hull homes, overhead connections on new or existing infrastructure, and use of existing lead-ins where available.

That is why a group with Irish, American and Caribbean operations is headquartered in North Ferriby. The agreement was expected to create around 100 jobs in the East Riding of Yorkshire, and the relationship has carried on since: over 200,000 homes have now been passed on that network.
